Having money to spend doesn't justify buying things unless you actually need them so I'd save most of it and maybe spend a few hundred dollars on entertainment. But if I received $10k that had to spent within a day and couldn't be saved for the future I'd probably use it to buy a car .

I'd rent a tux, rent a fancy car, get 1 night in a fancy hotel, get a VIP table at some club, and get 2 of the sexiest girls there and act like I'm rich or some shit while flashing money and take them back to the hotel and have a 3 some all night. Then id put the rest of the money on a McDonald's gift card because they have good fast food.

Sounds stupid but I would put it all into a pension plan.

Read something that said $1000 invested in a pension plan at 18 is the same as investing like $50000 when your 40 or 50.

You wouldn't get the benefit now, but would greatly over time.

Do some hedging. 10k can easily turn into over 200k in 10 years. Just short sell, buy good stocks, use basic calculus and statistics to create algorithms for short sales and divide it out evenly between stocks to prevent statistical anomalies from making you come up short. I actually had to do this for a project and had 100k. I turned it into 113k in 2 months by short selling because the market was bad.

 

I would look for a company that is just starting off, and looks promising, such as when Apple began. I would invest maybe 2k...wait a year, if my money has substantially grown, take out what i've earned, and put in the rest of the 10k I've had...
