Staking with a pure

Hello everyone,

I have never really been a staker back in the days, always PKing. But now in 2007 I would like to get into the art of staking.

I am a 1 defence pure and I would like to stay 1 def. Current stats:
CMB 58 - 60 att 60 str 1 def 64 hp 70 range 31 pray 75 mage

Anyone know what the best stats would be to get to stake succesfully?

And anyone knows a good guide for me to read?

Tips & such are highly appreciated

 

HP needs to be the highest stat.

 

if you wanna do d scimmy staking on a pure or dds - d scimmy get ur str 75+

 

Get your strength to 75 and stake people your combat and below in a one hand weapon bare bones match with specs on.

 

If you want to stake, don't raise your prayer at all until you start PKing. Unfortunately the way you build your account stake is different to how you would PKing.

I don't like the idea of having your hp higher than your strength, and unlike a lot of other pure stakers I have my attack higher than 60 (to stake zerkers and mains).

60/70/1 is a good place to start staking, your HP should be about 67 or 68 and your combat wont be much higher than what it is now.

 

If you think HP is not important, you have obviously never seriously staked so shouldn't give advice. HP is hands down THE most important stat. Use pest control to bring it above your Str/Mage/Range. 5-10 levels above is good, any higher will intimidate opponents too much probably.

 

HP seems to be pretty important yeah. Because most stakers my combat [59] have 1 prayer they have like 70 str, where I have 61 now.
I went from 250k to 4.5m staking in 1 hour now, though I was searching people under 65 str. Found a guy who I cleared for 2.5m with 3 str higher but 4 hp lower and my hp is what saved me all the times
Gonna train to 65/70 str now first though then stake again.

 

if you plan on range staking a good way to get your hp up is to train strength w/o training attack. Example: I'm 43 combat with 61 range, 57 hp and 60 str. Most range pures my level have at least 5 hp levels below me.
