Monkey Madness

I'm going to be doing Monkey Madness soon on my pure and I wanted to know if it was still possible to do this and not accept the def rewards. I believe this is true however I've heard that you cannot get back to the island without taking the defense reward - is this true?

Are there ways around it or no?.

 

Yeah, as soon as you're done with the quest don't talk to the gnome guy and don't accpet his training. This won't give any xp.

You can go back to the island, but you can't do the Ape Atol side-quest in RFD which gives adamant gloves since that does give xp.

 

Ok so just don't take any of the xp at all and I should be able to get back to the island?

 

You can't go back to the island because the same guy who gives you the xp takes you to the hanger. You can't go back to the island without claiming the xp. They changed it so that you could actually get back to the island without claiming the xp in 2009 so I'm not sure if itll get changed. As of now there is no way around it I don't think.

 

So does that mean if I complete the quest that I can't go train range with red chins because I will not be able to get back to the island?

If so, that's a bummer.

 

you can not go back to the island after completing MM, because the option to go back without claiming any xp was released after Evil Tree update which was in 2009. because pures used it to get to MM island to get addy gloves.

 

I looked into it quite a bit and could not find anyway around it. Unless they patch it there's no way of getting back there. There's some threads on rs forums about it trying reading some of them.

 

There is no way to get back to the island after completing the quest without collecting the exp, so if you want to chin range you need to do it before getting a dragon scim

 

Very well than haha, looks like I have some thinking to do on this one. Either be happy with what xp I can get by ranging or pull ~40m out of a hat for 99 haha.
