Returning Vet / EOC questions

Hey all,

Returning vet here, considering making a return to RS. 99 def, attack, str, hitpoints, pray, magic, and 92 ranged looking for a few pointers:

I want to get my ranged to 99 as I heard 2H crossbows exist and that's really my type of game play. I would like to try to do this semi-afk as I am a dad and cannot dedicate all of the time in the world to this. Can I use my defense to achieve this? What would be a suggestion for gear and monsters to fight? xp per hour doesn't matter much to me as long as it is decent, I'm looking more for the ability to play while feeding my son, or to have to run away from the keyboard at a moment's notice to take care of him.

My account was sold to some person from the Netherlands while I was gone (without my permission, of course). I come back and it has been cleaned with a few more dungeoneering levels, but that doesn't help soften a 1.2billion GP loss. RWT is still bannable, but what are the odds of being banned and what are some safe ways around it?

Weapon switching, crossbow to 2h sword, is it viable?

Hi mate, welcome back to RS. If your looking to buy gp, i suggest player auctions. I have been buying golf for 2 years off PA and never once had issues, nor have been banned. Be very cautious about fishy traders, especially if u think they may be Chinese. As of late jagex has been banning Chinese i.p's and players left right and center for gold farming.

As for eoc itself, ranged training can be hard. If you can afford ppots i would suggest doing black demons, there not bad ranged xp but can be slow.

Thanks for the fast reply and the advice. I appreciate it! I'm still looking for more ranged answers if anyone helps it, but your PA advice is very useful.

 

What's your Summoning level? If it's not 99, then I recommend buying the fighter bot from Powerbot and taking it to the Smoke Dungeon and have it use ranged to kill Dust devils for the crimson charms. Have it bring Bones to peaches tabs for food supply.

I'm not sure I trust bots, unfortunately.

 

Nowadays there are a ton of injection/color bots which have a significantly lower chance of getting caught, and are more reliable than the reflection ones used to be, botting summon is always a good idea.
