You'd think JaGex could hire 1 person at minimum wage and their job was to sit there and ban all of the 100% obvious botters, which would effect a huge number.

 

They would be paying that guy $10 an hour to ban hundreds of bots that pay $8 a month. It's a money losing game for Jagex to ban bots

 

More members will want to join if their are fewer bots though. They need to attract new players who are oblivious to botting and want to lay legit.

I've never understood all the hate on botting. If you have the time to legitimately get 90+ wc, why not invest it elsewhere and learn a new language while a program cuts the same yew tree all day. Honestly, why should someone have to spend so much free time "skilling"? People say it affects legit players, but it actually drives the prices down for heaps of necessary items, allowing for more accessible gameplay. As the saying goes: If you can't beat them, join them.

no way. Without bots, actual human work would be valued much higher thus "grinding" wouldn't exist since you're equally competitive with everyone else.

I kind of agree with this, i do bot sometimes, but id be glad if there were no bots at all.
