Skill Questions

So right now, I am at a stand-put in Runescape. I am currently wondering which skill to do. So before I figure out which skill I would like to do I would like to have a few questions answered...

First off, I would like to say the skills I am thinking on doing. It is between Smithing, Fletching, Fishing, Herblore, or Crafting.

I would like to make money with which ever skill I do, so please keep that in mind when you tell me which skill you think I should do.

Questions:

Is it possible to make money with Smithing?

Is it possible to make money with Fletching?

Is it possible to make money with Fishing?

Is it possible to make money with Herblore?

Is it possible to make money with Crafting?

Which methods make money with the above skills?

Which skill of the above makes the most?

Smithing - Yes. I would buy iron ore and RoF's, make into bars, and then make into knives. Then, sell for profit or use.

Fletching - If you make your own bows from scratch. Collect your own resources. I would recommend alching them from there.

Fishing - It's always been profitable. Why is this even a question?

Herblore - No. Not unless you get great deals on herbs/secondaries. Or, you can identify unids, but it's slow.

Crafting - Bowstrings, sure.

Fishing would make the most. Always has and always will.

 

For the Smithing, it's still profit even with buying RoF's?

And the Fishing, was just thrown in there because the other ones were. Lol.

 

Iron knives isn't much profit, 40-50 per knife, I believe you make 5 out of 1 bar which cost 200 gp anyways.

Fletching is profitable, especially if you craft your own bow strings.

If you're trying to get a lot of crafting exp, bow strings will be slow (15 exp per bs)

 

I made it a bit easier so that you can vote to tell me which skill you guys/gals think I should do.

 

I would choose smithing great way to make money and kind of a fun skill to train.

Is it possible to make money with Smithing? yes if your making knifes from certain ores,

Is it possible to make money with Fletching? at a higher level

Is it possible to make money with Fishing? yeah when you can fish swordies or higher

Is it possible to make money with Herblore? yes once you get prayer level's 1k a prayer pot at about 150 pray pots an hour if you have the herbs.

Is it possible to make money with Crafting? depends if you can stay at fight pits for ever to get onyx

Which methods make money with the above skills? best id say is mining your own ore then smithing. or the other one you could do is herblore that makes 2 much money.

Which skill of the above makes the most?
herblore,/smithing. smithing higher levels.

 

agreed. If you can get a high smithing level and make rune items you can make a lot of money, not sure how long that will last though

Currently yes, as rune items are in demand.
Is it possible to make money with Fletching?
Yes if you are making the bows from the logs and buying the bowstrings or for more profit buying them as flax
Is it possible to make money with Fishing?
Yes, just bank fish and you're instantly in profit.
Is it possible to make money with Herblore?
Unfortunately not, it's a very costly skill purely because of the price of secondaries etc due to the time needed to collect them.
Is it possible to make money with Crafting?
Yeah, gold items/flax. Larger d'hide can't profit that much unless you are collecting it yourself

Which skill of the above makes the most?
Fishing for the time/cash ratio by far, that's what I voted in the poll.

 

They all make you profit, but fletching is the only one that will make you profit doing a quick method (besides fishing), and fletching is afkable and very quick.

 

Definitely smithing. I am 90 on smithing atm and I've made cash all the way, at higher levels you even make 50k+ per item.
