Can you get bans from botting?

Hey guys, sorry for the following series of questions, I've recently just started playing runescape again since old school is back and was wondering if you can get banned for botting? If so, how severe are the bans (temporary or permanent)? and lastly if you get banned on OSRS do you get banned off the main game as well?

Yes, you can get banned for botting, however their is currently minimal bot protection, but you can expect that to change in the coming days and weeks. The bans range on the severity of the botting, geting 45-55 mage autoclicking camelot teleport probably would be nothing more than a week, but going in an anti random area and pulling millions of xp, definetly a perm.

If banned in EoC you are banned in 07, So I assume it works both ways.

 

Sorry but whats EoC? isn't that the 'evolution of combat'? if it is then why is that relevant to mention? does the newer version of runescape get referred to that now?

Not sure whats the chance of getting banned though, thousands of players have been banned anyways.

 

They will ban you, and if you get banned on one server it's a perm on the others as well (RS2/Classic/07). Also, they are implementing botwatch onto 07scape aswell so it'll be really bad when they decide to hand out mass bans.

 

Yes they do. The best way to see if jagex is banning accounts regularly (10k+) is by training a skill to level 30 and waiting for your rank to increase by a lot.

 

Banning bots is their #1 priority right now, besides taking down gambling

 

What's botwatch?

 

Botwatch is the automated ban system running in EoC, the one which links to Bottany Bay, where bot accounts are "killed" for all to see.

"Botwatch doesn't focus on breaking the code of the botting software but instead monitors an account's actions and determines whether or not it is human behavior."

Anyways, this is answered. Yes, you can be banned and yes you will be banned across all servers.
