Magical Munnar

The state of Kerala is known for its exotic beauty. People from different parts of the world visit Kerala to experience its beauty and tranquility. One of the famous places in Kerala that is very famous among tourists is Munnar. Munnar, the famous hill station is not only known for its beauty and charm but also for many places that are of tourist interest. Mattupetty, which is about 13 kms from Munnar, has a lake and dam that are well known picnic spots. The specialized dairy farm in Mattupetty has about 100 varieties of cattle. Close to Mattupetty are Kundala tea plantations and Kundala Lake.

Devikulam is yet another hill station that is located 7 km from Munnar and is known for its natural beauty and abundant flora and fauna. The Sita Devi Lake is famous among tourists not only for its sacredness but also for the curative powers in its waters. It is also a well known destination for picnic and fishing.

The CSI Christ Church is another famous tourist spot in Munnar. It was built by the British in 1910 AD. The Church is famous for its stained glass windows. It also has many brass plaques in memory of the tea planters.

 

I've actually been to Kerala before when I was touring India. It's a beautiful place with amazing exotic fruits and gorgeous scenery. Literally everything is lush and green, and it also has some great beaches.
