Hacked? gf whip+2m?

This was probably longer than it had to be.

So, basically my account logged out by itself without being inactive for 5 minutes. I tried to log back in; invalid password. Successfully changed password, but when I tried to log back in, it says invalid password again. Tried to change it once more on a different computer. Now it says I'm not using the right email. So someone must have keylogged me and used my email to change it. I was using a friend's laptop when it happened, but he has never played runescape. I never got an email from jagex saying that I switched email accounts, but the hacker could have easily deleted that email. I don't know why they would care to though. Also, this could be just one messed up bug because earlier it said someone was logged into my account, but I logged in just fine in a few minutes. I actually forgot to check the last logged IP because I was so worried about my whip 'n stuff at the time. So I basically have no access to my account at this point. My email is no longer registered with the account. No fucking idea how I could have gotten a virus, which is why I still have hope. I've never used a bot in 07. Never downloaded a client from sythe.

So I was just talking with theresasnow95 just a second ago and apparently she was hacked and impersonated on skype. After killing cave horrors last night, I was 800 kills dry and wanted to buy a mil to get my whip already. So I contacted her and tried to buy some any payment was unsuccessful. Obviously I was sent to a fraud site and they used my email information to recover my rs pass, change email, etc. That's the only thing I could think of. This happened just now. So now I also have to get a new credit card and secure my paypal account.

It was her gold site that I was linked to, but I don't know if that was hacked too and the hacker had access to the account information. What does sythe think?

 

Maybe your friends laptop was keylogged? Even if he never played RS the keylogger would see you went too the runescape website and entered the details. Either way sorry for your loss.

 

Considering they managed to change your password that quick, after you changed it, it sounds to me that you are/were infected with a RAT. This means he is/was monitoring your computer in real-time. Sorry for your loss!

 

This was my response too, I think what has happened here is that you have somehow managed to download a RAT.

The problem with RAT's is that if it is FUD (Fully un-detectable) to a decent standard, the chances of you locating it and deleting it are minimal.

Anti-virus programs don't always tend to find RAT's, you should definitely consult someone with more knowledge of this kind of thing, but I'm just speaking from experience, I had to completely wipe my computer of EVERYTHING then re-install my OS.

No. Haven't downloaded anything like rs clients or bots.
