Don't get muted

I recently got muted for something ridiculous in 2007 runescape. I jokingly said in varrock with my friend "Ready or Not Ready, win 300x your money" (we just came up with a stupid name for a game) and got muted almost instantly. I realized how damn hard it is to go about now while muted without the Grand Exchange, impossible to buy anything.

 

Well, you took the risk and you probably knew the consequences. Is the mute perm?

 

Yeah Jagex is really cracking down I would be careful.

 

It probably wasn't even an offence applied from someone reporting them, I would bet it was a Pmod who muted you just to be a dick.

 

I think Jagex has automatic sensors in the game that monitor anyone trying to gamble, because my friend said hot or cold and got an instant mute. They don't tolerate gambling at all.

 

They don't tolerate it unless it's their method. Dictators.

 

I got muted and it's the worst damn thing; i ended up having to ask my friend to buy things for me in order for me to do things on rs.

I literally got muted for calling someone a cock sucker l0l.

They are trying to stop all gambling whatsoever. Just make sure you stay safe, it might take a while to get used to at first.

Went into Mod Mark's friends chat for a minute and asked why they banned gambling, but allow SoF.
Their response? Because Sof is free and people can CHOOSE to buy SoF spins. That's retarded.

That's like someone giving free heroine to a few kids. If they happen to get addicted, they can choose to buy some more.

 

Flowering is free and you also have the free will to or not to flower... they make no sense at all.

 

Is the mute permanent or is it just a temporary one?

I think I'd likely quit a perm muted account.

 

I think it's temporary. Perm mute without g/e is impossible. I hope Jagex knows that too.

I got muted in osrs no you can't use the forums. I actually made another account so I could buy things lol.

 

Surely for something like that, where in the evidence they can tell you aren't serious, you can just appeal and get unmuted promptly???

 

First time offense is a 24hr mute, although it happened to me and it took two days for the offense to even show up on my settings page. You get auto muted for saying anything related to gambling like hc x2, flower poker, frosty flowers, anything. Jagex is taking this very seriously.

EDIT: Also, I tried it for simply to test it. I was in an empty space, away from all regular gambling, and got muted upon relogging

 

Jagex can smd. Boxing at duel arena is pretty much same thing!
