Olympus Has Fallen: Best movie of 2013.

I just watched Olympus has fallen last night and I must say it was incredible. If you are a United States citizen then you would really enjoy this movie. It kept me on the edge of my seat and kept me interested from start to finish. No dull spots. Has a great story and great acting by the main character- Gerard Butler. I highly recommend going to see this, it is definitely worth the money.

 

Disagree- Humor was inane. Plot was predictable. Gerard Butler was pretty good but everything else was corny. Too much CGI

 

Are you a citizen of the USA? The plot was definitely not 'predictable'.

 

Give me a break...It was predictable who was bad from the beginning, the ending was predictable (I won't spoil it for people wanting to see it). And only in America would we make a movie about getting destroyed by the North Koreans. Not to mention make the Secret Service look weak and pathetic. And you never addressed the terrible humor or the excessive + mostly needless utilization of CGI. CGI is used to enhance things not substitute for things, there was so much unnecessary CGI..like the flag being thrown. Need CGI for that, really? The plane bit was predictable. Feel free to chime in on what you thought was "not predictable". Oh what about the initial siege...the pilot just nonchalantly pressing a button to eradicate missiles. Sooo realistic.

Things I will give you that wasn't predictable: The traitor. The intentions of the main perpetrator, the way they attained the final code.

The escape, conclusion, and most of the scenes that were supposed to keep you on the edge of the seat were hindered by the fact that at least most people could have easily guessed what was going to happen. That's just my opinion. Not saying it's a terrible movie, but it's just your average brainless shoot-em-up movie with a half-baked plot and bad attempts at comedic relief.

 

You're obviously not from the US. And I'm sorry it was so prediactable to you. Watch less movies...I'd rate it a 9/10.

 

I'm from the US lol.. I just don't think it was that good. And yes..it was predictable partially because of stuff I've watched or read before. You didn't dispute anything I said though >_< . I'd give it a 6.5 maybe a 7.

 

I haven't watched that movie and I don't think I will. It's so disgusting how terrorism is taken as a complete joke in America, such a joke that we'll even make a movie out of it

 

The movie wasn't joking about terroism, it was more or less giving an insight of what could happen since we have been in disagreements with North Korea in the past.

Alot of movies have CGI nowadays, you can't really argue that a movie is bad just because it has alot of CGI? how does that make sense man...

How does that not make sense "man"? It was overkill. Even movies that use CGI most of the time are able to mask how contrived it is..this movie didn't. Parts were way too obviously fake and just used unnecessarily. Besides, that was a small part of my argument as to why it wasn't that great. Maybe you should read + critique the whole thing instead of nitpicking one tiny part.

 

Intense Movie, Gerard Butler does it again.

 

I watched it the other day, I'd rate it a solid 8/10.

 

LMFAO it was SO BAD. It was unrealistic, corny, cliche, and all-in-all, complete and total trash. Don't waste your money watching this movie.

 

Going to go watch this here in a few hours

 

Then you will have wasted ~$10 :/

 

$5 and not losing sleep over it =)
