Thoughts on possible Godwars.

I have mixed feelings, but overall I wouldn't want GWD.

I'd quit the main reason I'm still playing is the exclusion of so many addition(s) that I dont agree with.

 

i think godwars should be added, the end game content is SO little right now.
do you really want your only boss choices to be kbd, KQ, dag kings, and giant mole? GWD was the first REAL boss in rs. godswords did not ruin the game, it was only ruined when everyone started to be able to afford one. you can always choose who you fight, if they have a godsword, then dont fight them. but for us players that like PVM, KQ, dag kings, giant mole, and KBD just dont cut it.

most of the people playing 07 are 1 defense pures, therefore probably wouldnt agree with it. my friend is ranked like 300 something in defense with 70 defense.

can you read? the bosses that are in 07 atm, are way to boring.
GWD was the first good place to PVM.

 

Choas Elemental, KBD, KQ, MOLE, Dag Kings are fine by me. I hated the Gs and their specials. In addition I thought there was a thread about never voting on G.e and gwds.

 

As far as I can remember GWD was when the RS economy started to get very out of control. It was such a huge update all at once and people were asking/paying unreal amounts of gold for godswords and armor from GWD. As far as PVP I think godswords took away the thrill of the fight because you could just spec and one hit people. For PVM I think godswords are great, especially if they added some good high level bosses like the GWD. I'd have to say I'm anti GWD in rs07 for now though, I just saw that as a huge turn for the worse in my personal game experience.

 

Funny how people say the game will get old unless we have new content added. The game is Old School Runescape, aka for nostalgic purposes, so if you simply do get bored, it's time to move on to something else. Stop worrying so much about other people getting bored and stop trying to ruin the fun of others.

 

Definitely has it's pros and cons.

All in all, I'd probably rather do without GWD. I mean, I have always been a pretty big bossing fanatic, but I'd rather have 07RS the way it is now - without the gear places like GWD introduce to the game.

 

I personally think that gwd should be released later (maybe in a few years or so) however i don't think it should be released right now as people are still low lvl and theres a new economy and all that.

The cons out-weigh the pros IMO.

 

I really wouldn't mind it, but one thing to keep in mind is that it would mess with the combat balance. It would be Melee>Ranged&Magic.

 

I wouldn't want it to be part of the the game in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I did like Godswords and their special when trying to kill monster assignments and such but as people have stated, there will be a lot of people running around in the wildy pjing with just the sword to get massive loot. I wouldn't mind if they implemented that with the restriction of not bringing it to the wilderness unless you have amount of wealth risking it or not being able to bring it in, period.

 

If you really want a challenge in 07' then go the fight caves and start a firecape service.

07' wasn't known for its difficult bosses and was more PvP oriented than PvM.

 

I'm all for the gwd as long as the godswords get nerfed

 

i think gwd should be added, but godswords should have their spec removed. Just look how many raggers use msb/black d'hide/ags rag in 2008-pre eoc.
