Profiting Hobby Opinions?

Hey Im 16 I currently have a job, but Im looking to make some spare change like lots of people now I have a few questions about a idea I have and it become sort of a hobby but I tried to make money at the same time and curious about how people feel about it, and If I could get your opinions that be awesome!

Alright what I'm doing is taking old furniture like bedrooms dressers and bedstands and basicly what people are trashing, I'm going to sand them and re paint them for bedroom like items like that I want to repaint it black or white or other colors people would like, or even stain it then things like book cabnits and gun racks and repaint them or stain them and resell them.

Or I would make certain things like subwoofer boxes, paint them and then sell them to people also sort of like the idea above but I'd make it myself.

Now being honest I can get the paint and stains a bit cheaper then most people along with the brushes, and Im looking at example a 6 drawer dresser for example that's a little torn up scratches and such, I'd get it for free and then Id re stain it and make it pretty then sell it.

Does it seem good, profitable or anything? And any suggestions or things I could do would be pretty awesome! Thanks!

 

Almost any hobby you have, if you put your mind into it, can make you some extra money.

Here's a few ideas:

Carpentry, work on making things until you can make them as good or better than the machine made ones.

Fitness, it will make you healthy and if you get into it and learn more, you could get certified, and turn it into teaching classes at a gym/fitness center.

Computing, or programming, learn about something you can make or do, there's to many things to count.

Investing, although this can lead to losing money as well.

 

When I was 16 I was playing runescape xD, and got into doing webdesign as a hobby. Now that im 22 I'm a Firearms manufacturer, and NFA dealer which I never thought I would get into when I was 16.
