Alching

So, I am 55 magic, and I plan to get to 85 magic through alching... Now I would like to know what items make profit when alching.

I would just like to know some items that you can buy in bulk, that makes profit when you alch. Some of you may know a method but don't want to release it to the entire world, so if you want to keep it semi private, you can pm it too me. I would really appreciate any items that you guys can show me, as it would help me with my goal of 85 magic.


If you need to calculate the prices for some you may have in common, I will just let you all know I am buying my natures from around 250-300gp each.

 

If I was you I'd go to cammy bank and buy yew longbows.

Well the only way I could make profit off yew long bows is buying them for 1500 and natures at 250 each if I remember correctly.

Go to world 1 and alch in camelot, people are selling there yew longs

 

You get 720 GP, (if I'm not mistaken...) for each yew longbow you alch. You don't really come up to a profit, you come up to a loss depending on how much you buy each bow.

If you buy at: 500 GP/Bow
If you buy at: 250 GP/Natures
You're looking at: 750 GP total/Bow + Natures.

Assuming you're alching them for 720 GP/Each you come up to a 30 GP loss per bow.

 

Yew longs alch for 768.
Nats sell for 300.
Yew longs 550.

82 loss each.
~1.26gp/xp.

So what are some items that I can alch that will give me profit?

If you're chasing a profit you're better off waiting for prices to settle somewhat. Give the bots a chance to catch up to demand, won't take too long

 

As the prices of gold go down, items that are farmed by RWT'ers are just going to go up in price - I've already noticed this with other mass farmables like essence.

 

There is a list of items like rune med helms which have a highalch value same with battlestalves etc if youcan buy them + what they are for nature rune you will make a profit. However I suggest you dont look for alching for constant profit, I suggest doing Magic Training Arena (MTA) near dual arena for profit and constant xp, huge reward if you got time and good start up cash for magic books and inf robes

 

I honestly have no idea how to do the MTA. Dont you have to buy your own runes?

 

Rune meds, Green D hide etc. However most of those items atm are driven by the market price, so you will still make a small loss. There is really nothing you can buy in bulk that profits. I suggest yew longs/magelongs, afkable and easy; with only a small loss.

 

The economy seldom allows for profit while alching, especially since the demand for magic experience is ridiculously high. Unless you got extremely good pricing near the release date, I doubt you'll find an item you can purchase in bulk for profit while getting magic experience.

If you think of it this way, the only requirement for alching is 55 magic.

If people were selling bulk items, and all they needed to do to make more money was buy nats for 300 each, why wouldn't they, whenever they could get magic experience that 90% of pvp centric players would pay a premium for?
