It would be 5.00 monthly and only if you wanted it. It's not that much money actually it is little to no money. When you are talking about the security of your account.

I'm pretty sure you won't be charged for the texts. I haven't seen any unexpected charges on my bill.

 

How come we got charged $5 for verification then?

 

Isn't that verification amount is the one we paid via PayPal?

 

You guys are missing it all this is a different thing because it costs money to send Text messages automated so it was just a figure like 5.00 a month to have that security on your account and it is optional.

 

Why not use email? It's free, and anyone that could access Sythe would be able to access their email.

This suggestion is like JAG, and I don't see why it cannot be used the same way (email). I'm sure there's a way for automated email of sort, and a monthly fee for the effort put into making it and maintaining it in the future.

Text isn't ideal, for people that moves a lot or is out of their main IP a lot (traveling), if they lose their phone...

 

Well, There could be an email, text or call option and then a monthly fee if it is needed.

 

No support. Not really needed.

 

If it stopped a single scam it would be worth it.

No support. How often is it, you see a sythe account get hacked? Hardly ever. So in reality, you're just coughing up 5 extra beans a month (price is not set in stone, either. So you're suggestion isn't really 100% correct) just to have a bit of extra security.. Which would never be used.

As I said before in regards to the figures, where'd that come from? $5/m. If this feature were to be free, I'd offer support but from where I'm standing if much rather save that $5 month, and in a few years when I might get hacked, still very low possibility, I would have saved a few hundred dollars.

$60 a year to receive what? 1 maybe 2 txt a year? Pfft that price is ridiculous.

 

I guess I wouldn't support it if we had to pay a monthly fee. Mainly because that's a little reduculious maybe then we should just say donate $$$ then pay a monthly fee for the service. I mean I am on alot of ips due to my iPhone but I also have to have a cookie to access sythe. Why not just do that but each user has a different cookie assigned to them only. Bypass the fees just like that stupid yubikey idea before.
