I have been at the abyss for 5 hours killing abyss creatures and still haven't gotten a single runecrafting pouch, why haven't I gotten one yet am I doing something wrong?

 

You need to bot in order to get it.

 

There is no quest to actually obtain and ROW probably does not increase the drop rate just keep going man, get a mate to come with you 1/4 kill monsters or so and you kill them for drop to speed up the process. Good luck.

Did you go there by fairy ring? If so, you have to do the abyss miniquest first, else runecrafting pouches won't be dropped.

 

You have to do abyss miniquest.

 

If you've not done the abyss miniquest I'm guessing you got there via fairy ring. You need to do that before you can get any pouches.

 

I have already done the abyss miniquest and I entered the abyss by running into the wilderness and being teleported by the Mage of Zamorak. I have not used the fairy rings to get to the abyss.
So sadly it can't be either of those :'(

 

it just takes time, keep killing them.
you might have the luck were instead of getting a drop quick you get them all back to back to back.

check some of the posts made here, some people got them in 15 mins, some got them in 2 hours, it's all part of a random drop table, just keep killin them

 

No clue why it is taking you so long, took 5 minutes for me on my friend's account.

 

Hmm, very strange. Every now and then you just can't get a drop. You'll get em soon.
