wbot or script stole my items ?

I have never experienced a problem with wbot so far until this morning. Obviously the site is normally down which is unusual but here is what happened.

I had been using a fishing bot to get lobbies in Catherby and bank them in the bank close by. I had accumulated over 1k lobbies nearing 1.8k so I left the script on over night to get more and to increase my level. This morning when I logged on it said my last log in address was "comcost.net" which is not mine as mine is virgin media. I didn't take much notice until my account loaded in Lumbrige opposite the castle. At first I thought I had died but I still had my lobster pot in my inventory and all my items on me such as my armor. I went up to the bank and....... all my lobbies had gone and so had my 2k feathers that were going to be used for fly fishing.

the most devastating part is that I don't have the 1k boat fare to get back haha.

Something is up with a script I have used or the bot itself. Has anyone else experienced this ? add me on RS .

Since you're stupid enough to post your RSN in here, I'd say theres a good 100% chance that you downloaded a gold generator off youtube and got infected.

 

No, The only thin I have downloaded is wbot and the scripts on the site. I am not stupid enough to do that, and I posted my rsn as a genuine mistake.

 

It would be helpful if you could post the script name I highly doubt it's the client

Used the bot for like 2 weeks now, no problems occurred, you obviously downloaded something else.

 

i thought this too until i find my account in lumbridge with everything gone so...something is up

 

No matter how many times people say to me "you must have downloaded something else" my answer will always will be "no I haven't downloaded anything else apart from the scripts listed"..... I don't know how many times I will have to reiterate this, it seems people are trying to use this excuse as the root of problems people are having using the bot.

 

Downloaded any pictures? Videos? anyone sent you links? its not the bot.

 

No that's the thing. The only things I have downloaded was the "wbot.jar" from the website and then the add on scripts. I have nothing else downloaded that relates to runescape. My last download was "adobe after effects" which I highly doubt would be riddled.

 

Maybe your computer was already infected before old school rs. Or someone already knew details about your account.

 

I made a new account especially for the return of the 2007 server. I made it, bought membership and that was only 2 night ago. I will have to look into it now, bugging me.

 

Same exact thing happened to me, but I had 5k lobs and lost almost 2m. Im over it now, but yeah I was probably usint that same fishing script as you were for lobs. For all these wbot fanboys I was using a VM and downloaded nothing but eclipse jdk wbot and simba...

 

No matter how many times people say 'it couldn't be anything else, its wBot or one of its scripts!' I will reiterate. wBot has been looked through, the network communications have been monitored... nothing suspicious has been found. I've looked through most popular scripts and have yet to find anything suspicious which isn't a surprise considering they're reviewed before being committed to the repo.

I think its funny that you say 'people are trying to use this excuse as the root of the problem...'. Yes... people like you are. You are trying to pass blame on the bot or scripts even though much more likely alternatives exist. What alternatives?
