Defamation

What Marrow was doing wasn't defamation under US law. And bringing up double jeopardy makes no sense as no one is putting n4n0 on trial for past crimes, simply pointing out that they did in fact happen. He was not acquitted, so it is truth, meaning it isn't defamation.

We are not saying n4n0 should be banned, simply stating that even past crooks can be made staff.

Sythe is Australian like myself, therefore I assume he is working on the Australian defamation explanation, which is where defamation is the communication of false information to a third party, that results in a damage to the reputation of another party. This was not the case in that thread, as bringing up N4n0's pardon (acknowledgement that something wrongful happened, but the forgiveness of this) is not defamation any more than acknowledging the criminal record of somebody once they are released from jail. Truth is an absolute defence to defamation, and whilst I'm not necessarily agreeing with you about n4n0, I am stating my objection to Sythe's calling that thread defamatory. I'd love to hear your opinions though Sythe, perhaps I left something out of my definition/argument.
