I'm scared to put my password into my facebook account now, and other accounts. I did not make them the same as my wbot password though. Have you noticed any other things strange in connection with other accounts you have elsewhere than RS?

I was considering doing a quick scan with malwarebytes but in the end I just opted to reformat, I'm completely ip banned from wbot now, I'm guessing in about a week, the owner will come clean

My account was a pure, which got hacked, the person who took everything got like 28 def xp xD

 

Tbh even if it's true and they really did hack you it's still worth the risk; hundreds are using this bot and there have been few cases of hacking apart from the range guild incident.

 

I'm sure someone would have picked up something malicious with the client by now especially if it's installing keyloggers.
Something doesn't add up, so it's sneaked it's way past every antivirus on the thousands of computers it's been downloaded on too?

Not necessarily, there are very good crypters out there that can encrypt fully undetectable viruses. There would be zero trace. Scan with Malwarebytes, close to nothing escapes it.

 

I used wbot on my account with my desktop comp that I dont use much. I deleted and emptied the recycling bin. Only ran wbot for an hour.

If I change my password on the runescape website, and go back to using my laptop, think im safe? Thanks.

 

Logging your account details within the client is one thing but now it's installing keyloggers onto everyone's PC. Lol'd.

Why the hell would the owners of the bot level up your def. That's just stupid, IF someone hacked then it must be a script you used.

 

It is extremely unlikely that if the owners of the client were preforming hacks on accounts that they would then drop the untradeables and get def exp.

They wouldn't waste time doing that shit when they could be accessing more accounts.

That sucks, but why would you not have a bank pin on your main if that account wasn't even the account being botted on?

 

What a silly implication. It's "free" because the scripts, and the client isn't ready for the market. It's clear they're taking the Powerbot traffic away while their client is still down.

I really doubt they would hack a few kids accounts and steal a few bill, if anything they would target the goldfarmers... Although I really doubt it. There is much more money to be made selling scripts.

It's funny... I've used probably 10 different RS bots over the years, every single one of them had claims of hacking made against them. Yet I've never once been hacked. I'm not saying there isn't any malicious software out there, far from it... Use some common sense.
