How to convert members item in sof to coins on f2p account

I'm not sure if this is widely known so thought I would share it.

If you get a expensive item like 80k shards(1.2m) on a f2p account but don't want to subscribe to claim it because its not worth it and then it won't let you convert to coins and only lets you discard.

Just click the subscribe to claim button.

As soon as you do that, the convert to coins button will appear and allow you to change the item to coins.

Just exit out of the page jagex links you to.

Easy as that.

just tried it, it doesnt work instead of converting it to coins it just discards.

It worked for me with both a 50k tiara and the 80k shards.

Don't know then. I might be wrong.

 

Are you sure you didn't have the money already in your pouch? I tried this a while back and it discarded :3

 

Does it actually discard it? Cause i got an ags on an account.
EDIT: pretty sure it doesnt work, it doesnt even show a claim button after doing so

 

This does NOT work, and will either end up being a mis-click to discard, and you will lose it, or you will waste your time.
