Insane dedication! I tried to smith knives myself and only managed to do 229 bars. Good luck with the rest of your proggy

 

People are slowly acquiring gold smithing gauntlets, you might want to look into them, but you're pretty far from the requirements.

What took you over a week to achieve, can be achieved in a mere 30 hours with them. Bars could be a problem to sell, but it wasn't any loss for a while.

I'm going for 80 crafting, for glories, or maybe 99 if glories don't become are profitable as they once were. I'd love to make the first page too. Good luck.

I didn't know that gold gauntlets existed back in 07, I got 99 smithing on EoC using those. I'll see what I can do about getting the requirements for the quest, I am also considering doing addy bars on blast furnace, takes half the coals and then either sell the bars or smith them into bolts or something. Thanks.

how much is 1 iron bar and how many knives does 1 iron bar make?

only way to probly make a profit of mith/addy bars is to make bolt or addy ranging items and thats the slowest xp but probly only chance of making profit

 

Iron bar is 130gp and you make 5 knives out of 1 bar. 5 knives are 150gp so you make 20gp/bar. I am currently selling adamant sq shields (smithing as people request) for 20-30k each, they are needed for clue scrolls.
