initiate pures

how are they? Right now I'm leveling as a 1 def pure and will stay this for a while. But I would also like to make it into a initiate pure. Would this be a bad idea?

Could you guys also give me the pro's and con's about a initiate pure?

I'm doing this, tbh they owned back in 07 so it should be the same.

Get addy gloves first then level upto 20 defence. but yeah, 20 defence gives you access to Mystic also.

 

I wouldn't go with a initiate pure unless you fuck up and get your def up. The combat levels aren't worth it for 1+ str xp.

 

Pros:
Higher defensive armor tier (Mystic, Initiate)
Less food usage when training
Mithril Defenders
Adamant Gloves OR
Access to training at Yaks

Cons:
Mithril/Initiate is still fairly weak; and you'll probably get hit anyway in PvP
4 and 3/4 higher combat levels than a 1 defense pure, or roughly 12 strength and 5 hp weaker
Mithril Defenders are annoying to get because Cyclopes hit pretty hard on 20 defense players

both have advantages.

I like Initiate pures, as I had one back in 2007. Staking wise, I seemed to destroy mains and pures around my level (I was 13 prayer, so still low combat).

 

If you're going to get 20 defence, I'd give up on prayer. In all honestly, as stated, the cb levels just aren't worth it.

 

Initiate pures arent worth it, they get wrecked by zerkers/mains
