What do you think i should apply to.

Well i havn't got the best highschool grades in the world so i don't have much options pertaining to college. The only options i really have are two programs.

1.Professional Theatre (Acting & Design options)
2. Social Sciences

I think professional theatre(er) could be interesting. I have no idea where that program could lead to in regards to a career..Not like im gunna end up being some famous actor. Still it seems more interesting then social sciences. Anyways tell me what you guys think.

P.S: I don't mean to be annoying like diet cok. I won't be creating a thread like this again. Its just his thread reminded me i wanted to ask this question for a while.

 

A degree in theater will get you absolutely nowhere, I'm afraid. You actually have a better chance in the music industry than in theater.

Social sciences can be good though, but taking a degree on social sciences is pretty vague since there are quite a few.

 

Like Mage3158 said, a degree in theater will probably get you nowhere except if you're like supertalented. Social sciences would probably be your best choice.

 

Social sciences are actually really interesting, I'm studying psychology (again) and it's still interesting what they can find out from different methods of research. As for drama, I can't comment, I was always terrible.

 

I'd suggest taking a step back and resitting your high school diploma to better your grades and widen your opportunities within college as-to what degree you can take. There's no rush, it's better to study something you'll enjoy rather than picking from choices at hand.

 

Get a job working with your hands.

Construction, Carpenter, Electrician

You can go into an apprentice-ship straight out of highschool with bad grades and be making money while you do it, and when you get out you can be making 100K+ per year.

 

^ a good friend of mine went into carpentry right out of highscool, and now makes a pretty good living. he works jobs or w/e and then on the weekends if he's not working does under the table jobs for people and makes some unreal cash from that. only thing he doesn't really like about the job is when it's -30 and he's working outside all day lol.

 

See if your community college offers credits that transfer to university. Start there and do well. College is even tougher than highschool and you've gotta have drive. But you don't get a second chance.
