    Selling GP in Bulk (Questions)

    Greeting Sythe,

I am currently devising a plan to sell an incredibly large sum of RS EOC gp without getting banned before being able to sell it all. I have done quite a bit of research over the last few weeks, and I’ve come to the conclusion that the majority of people cross their fingers, hope for the best, and sell bulk as fast as possible with a high probability of getting banned. I’m not interested in being that irresponsible with a large sum of cash… Furthermore, people have been telling me that Jagex has been cracking down on selling to China buyers a lot more than they used to, so selling to a bulk China buyer does not seem like a reasonable method right now. I’m not sure how much information I’ll be able to gather from this community, but I figure it’s the best place to ask. :)

Basically, I’m interested in HOW Jagex detects RWT and what causes an account to get flagged. I would appreciate if anyone knowledgeable could comment on the following methods, and explain how Jagex interprets/reacts to these when they are noticed.

Note that a hub is the central point of a network. The hub is the account where all the gp being sold originates. Nodes are accounts connected to the hub via trades. If I’m screwing up the mathematical terminology, I apologize in advance. I know only the basics of graph theory and network theory.

    1. A large sum of gp is traded from a hub to a moderate number of distinct nodes. These nodes trade the gp to other distinct nodes. So on so forth. This creates a network with many branches.
    2. Symmetric networks vs. asymmetric networks. (Symmetric means every branch from the hub looks identical or nearly identical to the other branches)
    3. Trading to newly created nodes vs. nodes that have been made 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 1 year, etc. ago.
    4. Trading to nodes that have accumulated 0 hours, 5 hours, 10 hours, 20 hours, etc. of gameplay time.
    5. Logging onto nodes only with VPN. Each node has its own IP location (i.e. Germany), and each IP is static vs. dynamic.
    6. Length of time between trades. How long does Jagex keep trade records/network data for?
    7. Trading with Active f2p vs. inactive f2p vs active p2p vs inactive p2p.
    8. Trading with a node associated with a China network. (Will this flag all branches immediately connected to this node?)
    9. Direct trades vs. staking vs. drop trading vs. pretend gambling vs. contests and giveaways
    10. Other things you believe are important to consider when selling gp.

Furthermore, is there a way to determine whether a buyer on Player Auctions is China or not? I am assuming that any account with a large number of feedback has a high probability of being a China trader. (I'm not against China sellers/buyers. I'm just concerned with the risks involved.)

Thanks for reading all of this, and I truly appreciate your help. I don't expect people to know everything about all of these points, but hopefully I'll be able to gather some pertinent information.

PA takes a 10% fee, it will take a while to sell at a good price, and if you drop it too low, chinese buyers would buy it. They move the most GP in the game, so they would take it off you for the right price.

As others have said, you're better off selling to people like Arcus, R2P and Grave. They could buy almost, if not all, your stock at once. I'm also giving you a suggestion via PM.
