20 Defence Pure?

Alright, so I knew these where about before, a pure with 20 defence.

Most likely 60 or 70 attack, 99 str, 99 range, 99 magic, 31 or 52 prayer.
Obviously going to get Addy Gloves, which i've nearly got now.
The reason for 20 defence in my opinon is for the initiate armour.

what do you guys think of this?

 

Initiate is pointless without Turmoil, plain and simple might as well save 1 combat level and get 17 and just rock Black, and get Addy Gloves/Black Defender.

It is not pointless with turmoil, 20 defence pures were around for ages before turmoil was ever invented.

Mith defender and addy gloves, its good, is it possible to get rune?

But yeah mystic and intitate pking is quite fun, id stay 60 attack until whips drop a lot though, too expensive.

 

Stay 60 attack, stay 1 def.

 

I never said they weren't around, I simply said the are pointless, after having a 20 Def account with Turmoil it makes you realize how lame they are without it.

 

Theres not much point in a 20 def pure, the only thing you get is studded body, mystic, initiate, mith defender, and addy gloves.

This costs 5-6 combat levels, if you are going to get defence, you might as well get 45 for berserker helm, void, black dhide bodies, rune defenders, rune boots, vengeance, dragon baxe/mace barrows gloves etc.

Vengeance and barrows gloves being the main things.

There just isn't enough unlockable content at 20 for the combat levels

 

I'm staying 1 def because then i have to worry less about buying armour everytime etc, but i gotta be honest 20def pure seems more fun

 

This is a good point, but pking isnt all I want to do, I wanted to stay reasonably low combat, but initiate gives great prayer, mystic is good also.

 

Depending on the route to questing you take, you can also access Yaks at 20 defense. Opens up a great training spot, but I think you have to skip Addy gloves and stay at Mith.

20 defense is great fun, mystic and initiate give you a pretty big advantage especially if you stay low prayer (to make up for the combat levels from defense)

 

Lol, you can actually go to yaks and have addy gloves, i did it and im still 20 def.

 

You couldn't even get turm at 20 def pre-eoc. Pretty pointless post.

I had a 20 def and liked it pre-eoc. That being said, it unlocked corrupt armours then.
