    Maybe it's already available and I'm an idiot who is not seeing it. I am sure there have been posts about this before but without the search feature it would take quite a bit of digging.

    So my question is what is the policy on getting your name changed? Is it allowed and is it free? are there any restrictions?

    I created this account almost 6 years ago and to say the least I am not the person I was back then, and do not care for my name that much anymore.

    It's not allowed. Due to scammers being able to cover up. However if you really hate your name you can create a new account and it is recommended to get your current account a self requested ban. That is the only alternative.
