Which of the Mage Arena Spells is the best?

Flames of Zamorak - Lowers Att/Str
Saradomin Strike - Lowers Prayer
Claws of Guthix - Lowers Defence


Which one in your opinion is the best?

 

Flames of zammy was always the best.

It hit harder than the others.

 

Okay, can you explain the difference too, please?

 

If I remember correctly they all do the same damage. The Sara spell lowers your opponents prayer, the guthix spell lowers your opponents defence and the zamorak spell lowers your opponents att/str.

 

So, in your opinion which is the best?

Actually, flames of zamorak lower your opponents magic.

Sara is most useful for pking since you can drain prayer faster, claws of gothic is best for bossing, Flames of zamorak is best for staking since it lowers magic

 

Well okay with a pure such as the one I plan on making where... I will TB+Entagle+(one of the 3 spells here)+gmaul rush. Which would be best?

 

Definitely Sara Strike, because you the have the chance of draining what prayer they have left (assuming they use protect item).

 

Yeah, I was thinking either Sara Strike to lower the prayer, or Claws of Guthix to lower their Defence for the one bang.

saradomin lowers pray 1 point per hit, max hit 20, charged 30
guthix lowers def by 5, max hit 20, charged 30


Zammy and guthix only lower the stat once - sara lowers each hit.

My favourite is zamorak

 

Claws of guthix would be rather worthless IMO.

Zammy "hit's the hardest", but I honestly doubt there is much of a difference.

I doubt you'll be able to lower someone down from 31 prayer just while rushing. Sara strike only lowers 1 prayer point per every successful attack (meaning that hitting a 20 or a 5 still only lowers 1 point). If your only going to cast the strike once, it won't really matter that much.

I'd say zammy in that case. If you plan on actually fighting with the spell strike (5+ hits) I'd say sara.

 

Best for looks:

Guthix/Saradomin

Best for offensive pking:

Zamorak

Best for trying to smite players while pking (e.g. green drag 4 itemers):

Saradomin

Best if you plan to hybrid and switch to melee (not against 1 defence pkers):

Guthix

You need to take the answers given to you and formulate a solution for yourself...they've literally spoon fed you all the information and you're still asking the same questions.

I used Flames of Zammy on my pure, and Sara Strike on my main (pre-DT).

But, if you can be bothered doing DT (which you should), you should go with Blitz->G Maul spec.
