Jax vs Garen

Who do you think wins?

A lot of people say Garen, but I disagree. If you play Jax the right way Garen is a very easy lane. Opinions? Who wins? Why?

 

A good garen wins most of the time. When jax activates his 100% dodge spell Garen can easily use his spin and still do damage. Since jax uses much spells in fight Garen his silence is a pain in the ass for jax. However jax is a strong champion overall so its hard to tell

 

Yeah, Garens Q (Silence) is deemed at auto attack, so it can be dodged with Jax's E. After 6 if you farmed well and use your ult and E properly, you destroy Garen after he is on cooldowns.

 

It depends on the player.

A good jax will beat a garen. Likewise, a good garen will beat a jax.

 

Garen wins assuming equal skill. If he doesn't snowball it though jax wins late game.

 

Skill matchup, you can outplay Garen. Harass with W, Q away before silence or directly after

 

Early, garen wins. Post level 6>lategame if the Jax is equally farmed/itemised, Jax stomps.

 

Garen will win early but if Jax is good he will win late.

 

I have beat plenty of garens with jax, but then there is times when garen shits on me, it all depends on the player. After 6 jax should win if you didnt let garen get any kills, and you keep up with cs, hit minions twice then hit garen, repeat until hes around half hp, then go balls deep with E after he activates his spin (the spin counts towards the dodge bonus dmg) turn on w, and just keep auto attacking. Of course it wont always play out like that, but after a couple tries you'll get the feel.

 

I personally play Jax all the time and practically dominate a lane with him unless I get ganked and severely-outfarmed (which rarely happens).

garen has no mana costs and his passive is really good sustain. For every time you W him he will q spin your face off

 

In general Garen loses heavily to high sustain lanes. This is a result of his only trading capability coming from his q+e combo then waiting on cd's.

I find if Jax is able to keep up early game and build correctly its tough for Garen to win trade later.

This is mostly from my limited experience playing Garen - Havent really played him extensively.
