Meh..doesn't matter if he would have let in a 2nd goal anyway.

Game was set in stone after the red card. Like I said, not saying RM doesn't score with 11 v 11, but no way they score 2 that fast. All the momentum shifted after the call.

But whatever, good luck the rest of the way.

Butt hurt Man U supporters. We won.

Round of 16 is still an achievement for you guys though, considering last year you were in Europa

Nobody is butthurt you're clearly just a Real Madrid homer. You'd be whining too if you were up 1-0 and a suspect red card changed the entire complexion of the match.

All of the unbiased fans agree it was a crap call...

Butthurt would be complaining about the red card if it was justified. Nobody, not even the RM side, would tell you it was justified. But that's the way it goes. Yes Real Madrid has a slightly more talented and battle-tested squad..also I said good luck in the future. Hardly being a butthurt fan. A disappointed fan that a game that good was influenced so heavily on a call that bad.

Lol it was easy for Jose to say that considering he'd just won the tie.

Wtf does being Spanish have to do with anything. I've been supporting RM since I was 8.

You're goal meant nothing in the context of the game. Unbiased my ass, his studs went into the chest. Reckless play is grounds for a red card.

This is the stupidest comment on this thread. Congratulations, I no longer take you seriously.

How the hell did a goal mean nothing in the context of the game? 1-0 meant that a draw at 1-1 would force extra time and penalty kicks because of the away goal UTD had. 2-2 draw means Real Madrid advances because of more away goals. A 0-0 or 1-0 result would have seen Man Utd through. So please explain how that goal, own or not, had nothing to do with the context of the game?

I meant in regards to RM. Regardless of that goal we still had to score.

I'm sorry but since you're such a fan why aren't you at old Trafford.

Like I said man, I'm not saying RM wouldn't have ended up scoring and winning anyway, but I don't think it's fair to label us "butthurt" because we complain about a call. You're free to disagree with my opinion of it being the wrong call, but no need to call us butthurt.

The 1-0 goal was big because you figured Man Utd would be able to buckle down on defense and at worst probably be looking at extra time. Not to mention RM would have had to pinch up and with an even 11 v 11 that gives more of a chance for UTD to get a 2nd goal.

The 2 goals RM had were sublime, but it's impossible to denounce the momentum shift that occurred after the call. Man U is partially to blame for this, they did not keep their focus and it cost them.

The call did not decide the game, it just hindered it (in my opinion).

I figure RM will win the Champions League now, with Barcelona having a steep mountain to climb and looking to be falling apart at the wrong time.

Lol. It still was an awesome match-up..I just knew Man Utd was toast after the red. I felt it in my bones, and it came to fruition. Oh well..Man UTD has to focus on Chelsea now.

Everything you've posted means nothing. I buy my teams jersey too. Lol you're genuinely butt hurt.

You're a pretentious douche who thinks that because he has an alleged bloodline connection to a football club he's a better supporter than everybody else. Grow up mate, the vast majority of Manchester uniteds wealth comes from outside England. If it weren't for that, you'd be a midtable epl team.

Go back to your shitty league, which won't have any teams left in Europes top competition after this week.

Decision to send off Nani was completely justified. I will not reply to you anymore, you're unworthy of my time.

Perhaps I have not watched football long enough to give an educated opinion on whether or not the call was good. I am admittedly an american based fan whose favorite sport is soccer/football, but my knowledge is lacking right now.

I do enjoy the Premier League though, the parity of the league makes it very enjoyable. And it's the only soccer I can ever get broadcast here. Sadly I get no german soccer, and only some spanish teams come on. Usually just Barca or RM.

The first match I ever went to was UTD-Arsenal at Lincoln Financial Field, and I just fell in love with UTD. Back when they had Diego Forlan playing for them, one of my favorite players. Then aside from the Americans crappy WC team, I took a liking to Rooney. So it all just materialized back to UTD and I became a big fan of RVP.

Okay, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since you're somewhat gracious. Deep down, I think the decision was harsh, however according to the rules the ref made the correct decision. The challenge was reckless and dangerous, two grounds for a sending off. Personally, I thought it could have been a yellow. Ed of the day ref made a decision off what he saw, and I don't think he should be vindicated for it.

Of course the goal gave Man U a psychological advantage, but Bottom line was Madrid needed to score regardless.
