Slayer

Hey guys, I am planning on starting slayer on a new account, but I do need some advice.

In order to start Slayer, what quests/levels do you guys think I should do/have before I start Slayer? Please level your opinion and help.

the higher the better
but you can also start with 1 in every skill, since you also lvl your combat skills with it

 

Level 3+ Combat:

Burthope slayer master.

Level 30+ Combat:

Canafis slayer master. (requires Priest in Peril)

Level 60+ Combat:

Edgeville dungeon slayer master.

I dont believe certain slayer levels are required at all, its down to your combat level. I personally did Canafis until i got 60 combat then went to Edgeville.

 

You can be level 3 with 99 slayer if you spent long enough collecting EXP pots, i would just recommend you finding a level where you feel comfortable and going from there.

 

id suggest to get atleast 40combat before starting, otherwise you will get the most shitty taskes ever.

 

Get your combat up, if you can offord get a cannon/cannonballs as it really speeds up your tasks

Priest in peril will unlock the canfis slayer master and the slayer tower

 

I didn't feel that this question was worthy of a new thread, but anybody know where I can get something of a bullseye lantern for my Cave Slimes task? I'd pay 20k for one.

 

I just wanted peoples opinions on whether or not to get a certain combat stats before I started slayer. I know I can do it at level 3, but should I?

Also, what quests should I do before I start slayer?

 

i always just start from like lvl 10 lol and progress up in slayer as much as possible

 

I was thinking of getting 40 att/str and 30 defence then starting. Now, what quests should I do?

 

I used candles for that. There's a section of the cave near the entrance where the swamp gas will not explode. Explore it and you will find it.

 

Witch's potion, Imp catcher (the one where you turn in the coloured beads), Vampire Slayer, any of the basic noob quests.

Look down the lists of quest rewards for easy noob quests, and do the ones that give you combat XP.

If you are going to be getting slayer high, personally I would start it as early as you can. Doing some quests to get you some combat XP is a good head start so your tasks don't take ages, but you don't need to level too much to do good in the beginning.

 

I'd personally work on around 10/10/10 att/str/def before I touched slayer :3

 

So I figured out some quests that I will need to do, but should I do them before?

do the varrock museum task inspecting the museum thingies its very easy 5mins, to start off gives u straight away 1000 slayer xp

Dang someone beat me to it, oh well I don't mind re-iterating what everyone else has said anyways.

First things first do the museum thing, it gives you 9 slayer right off the bat.

As for combat, the burthrope slayer master is way more useful at skipping tasks you can't do over actually using him as a slayer master. It would be much faster to get some combat first so that you can effectively finish your tasks. Should you wait til 80 combat to start slayer? Of course not, but starting it at 10 combat will just be too frustrating and slow I believe. Having to go to each and every small menial task will cripple your combat xp per hour and having no damage means almost no slayer experience either.

 

I have the combat down, but what quests do I do before?

 

This is really hard to answer - is your account going to be a main? If so, I'd do all the quests you can.

I wouldn't suggest doing the last 3 on your list before starting Slayer, because you may need a higher combat level than you'd want to wait for before starting Slayer.

Do every F2P quest you can be bothered doing (come on, there's only like 30), and then look into knocking out as many requirements as you can for quests like the one for Legends Guild, etc. (all this is assuming you are making a main)

Currently level 69, one more melee/hp level until 70. When would you guys recommend using the Zanaris/Shilo slayer master?
