The drop shadow needs to be improved and tailored better to the settings given. It shouldn't be like a normal drop shadow, set the blending mode to normal and set the size to 0 so it doesn't scatter. It's meant to be an edge.

 

Something about it feels wrong - I think the contrast between the inner shadow and the drop-shadow edge fucks up a bit and you might want to switch roles and set a 0 distance drop shadow with some spread and size instead, then you can use the inner shadow as the edge and give it an effectively inverse feel. Seems to me it should work better because for example the line at the top and the shadow at the bottom contrast rather oddly and it gets on my nerves

 

I'm honestly not sure what you mean haha, could you try rephrasing it or showing me on skype?

How, in the last two steps, did you go from JG on a black background then remove it to become transparent? that's the only bit I got confused with.

 

I just hid the background layer. If your background is transparent it should have the checkerboard look to it.
