And I am not basing my opinion from Thrift Shoft. I've been listening to Macklemore before that song became popular. I like how he has so many different kinds of music, from serious to stupid, to funny.

 

Interesting macklemore is good but when you compare him to peple like nas he gets stepped on.

Skill wise, I have to say Tech N9ne. Nobody has the variety of flows & deliveries that he has. Eminem is one of the best alive too, because he's a great lyricist (when he wants to be). Can't forget Nas, either. I can see how people say Jay-z, but I'm not feeling what he's been doing recently. Kendrick Lamar & Big KRIT have great potential, too. We'll see how they do the next couple years. All of this is my opinion, of course.

 

I actually compeltely agree with EVERYTHING you said. But Kendrick has proven himself over his past 2 albums he can show his emotional story telling side or his just normal song with clever hooks and such but the songs he puts meaning into are insane when you take them in after listening i mean DRANK for example got played out like f on radio no one knows tis about how his family had drinking problems and it was enough liquor to fill up a swimming pool. Same with his other songs like tammies song and no makeup, etc , but other then that gottta agree everything you said.

 

There are too many artists to choose from

 

Yeezy said Lil Wayne was the best rapper at the moment, I'm not sure if I agree with that but his opinion has a lot of influence.

the one that decided to give up his career ? lol jk not a big rap fan personally especially todays rap they don't even try anymore but if I had to pick I'd go with flo rida because of his version of that i cry song or maybe eminem? like I said not a big fan of rap myself.
