You can see he NEVER deleted the vouch until it was all soft deleted. He never reported a known ban evader.
I hacked an account, he vouched it, I scammed, I got banned, made a new one, he vouched it, I told him I'm a scamming ban evader, he did nothing, I used his vouch to scam $, he could of removed the vouch and reported me, he did neither one.


In the thread against r2p in SL, he says he didn't know this wasn't my first sythe, he obviously vouched my other account. Ignorance is not an excuse

Right, but if we're going to ban Viou for saying he was involved in shady trades like that, I don't see how R2Pleasent being told straight up that a person is a hacker/scammer, who he has purchased gold from, gives him an excuse to just vouch for him and get away with it. I made a similar mistake in the past and I was punished for it. Viou was permanently banned for it and there's no proof he even vouched the scammers. He was just doing shady off-site trades, which a lot of the large gold sellers do to get cheap stock. I don't know if this qualifies me for a ban, but the "shadiest" trade I ever did was purchasing duped gold (even though I did not know until I found out the people who sold it to me were from the team that did the crucible glitch). However, I took the full risk (kept it on my account for a day) and then sold it all to a person, when he knew it was from the crucible dupe.

 

This whole situation of banning people for ill gotten goods is stupid. If it is followed through we are looking at a lot more huge sellers being banned, most people have took it to themselves to set the people up themselves and almost all gold sellers/ buyers have agreed to buying off them.

Maybe for the sake of the market it should only be a temporary ban (1 month+) but I do think we need better guidelines for our sellers, such as letting buyers and sellers know what the source of the gold is, at least when they ask.

If I recall correctly, the OP was WORKING for RSU at one point. You have the audacity to tell me I should do more research who I am buying/selling to, you HIRED the guy. Give me a break, Grave. If this guy is such a major hax0r that everyone should know, why did you let him take orders on behalf of your company?

This guy sold to us via Live Chat to one of my workers, and they did not have access to my Skype. I should have checked the back logs before vouching him, I am just overloaded with orders sometimes and I don't have time to check through.

Also, by the time he told me he was a scammer/vader he had already made a scam report on himself in the RaS.

Banning somebody for buying it is wrong, they are not promoting anything considering those people who hack the gold will just sell to Chinese buyers if highly reputable members don't buy it.

If we are following through on the legal/ ethical methods of trading then the whole account upgrade section needs to be looked through and members such as inpherus need to be banned. We promote luring which is basically promoting social engineering and people obtain that gold through deception but the buying that gold isn't allowed because technically it is stolen the same way it is by a hacker...

 

I hired him before this was discovered. I also hired R2 Jason before he began ban evading, hacking gold, and working for you. Mind explaining that? Or how about hiring Syed while it was under his breach of contracts to leave without a two-week notice? Forgetting that?

He said he's sold to you for a year and you know him, but I'll give you benefit of the doubt. Either way, I'm pretty sure these charges were dismissed in the staff lounge since Corey denied it in the Report a Scammer.

I vouched him before he told me he was a scammer, have you even seen the evidence? Once he told me that he started threatening to get banned for vouching him previously.

You claim those things about Jason, well feel free to provide evidence to me of that. I have no evidence of what you claim. He started working for us right after putting in his 2 weeks with you. Obviously you didn't think he was enough of a risk to let him go before finishing his full time there.

I'm just saying you're a total hypocrite. You've employed this guy, had him handle customer information, and now it turns out he is a well known scammer. If you can't do your due diligence on a hire (which you do maybe 10 times a year, max), how are you expecting me to research everyone I trade / vouch for when I do up to 100-200 trades a day? Furthermore, I didn't actually use the word vouch, I just wrote that I bought 4b from him. You'll notice Kevin posting a vouch for the exact same circumstance right underneath my own.

He's said a lot of things, Grave. We taking this guy's word at face value? Even if he did sell to us before, how am I supposed to link him to the old buys?
