Items for negative magic attack

I currently have -55 magic attack, i think you need -65 dont you to splash?

im only 6 range, cant wear vambs, im 30 defence, what can i wear along with full set of melee armour?

EDIT: got -58 now, wearing boots from stronghold of security.

 

You don't need a range level to wear regular leather vambraces.

 

If you want, you may remove the staff that you are using for curses.

 

Leather gear, and a bronze kiteshield.

 

normal leather vambraces do not give a negative magic attack bonus ^_^.
