Paid Stickies

Checked the DNS list; nothing came up; so this is my suggestion.

Support/thoughts?

 

What do you exactly mean by paid stickies?

 

you pay say $40 to have ur thread stickied for 2 weeks. Only large gold sellers would benefit and I think it's been denied before.

 

Small businesses would fail if this was done and people would leave so no support.

 

This is stupid. People paying for stickies is a bad idea as everyone like R2P would be doing it and it would end up with grave and R2P owning the RS Gold section I really I can't see this being supported by mods no support.

Tbh, I think its a good idea.

Limit it to 1 Stickie per person, would make sythe.org a little bit of money.

 

I don't like looking at a bunch of stickies at the top of the page. I don't support it for the reasons already put above/it looks unprofessional in my opinion.

I'm sure sythe has already considered this(given that he owns a large forums), and for whatever reason found that it wasn't worth it -- just my speculation however.

 

It's hard enough to get recognised or well-known, never mind when bigger companies are buying stickies. We encourage people to start up business, not deter them by making it harder to do so.

 

No support from me ether sorry. I just don't think it's a good idea.

 

I suggested something similar to this called Featured Sellers, it got denied due to having a advantage over other sellers.

Yea, it is a good idea in theory, but it will disadvantage A LOT of small businesses especially since it's hard enough to start out as is.

 

I prefer a free/open market

 

no support, the whole page for lets say runescape gold sales, would be pure stickies, therefor making it not worth it anyway.

and for anything non market, i don't think it would be woth having to pay for a sticky, unless it was something like to support a cause like the thing video is doing.
