Holy shit as someone who quit runescape in early 2007 and then returned in late 2008 to a shitty game and then quit again in 2009 this is crazy awesome info!

Every few months to a year I just check up on runescape cause honestly the years 2004-2006 when I started playing runescape, as bad as this sounds, were some of the defining moments in my childhood lol.

It seems jagex has done a fine job of butchering the game over the years lol.

Honestly the best year IMO would be 2005-2006 thats when the game peaked IMO.

The only thing I feel though is that its going to be a novelty as most vets like me have quit and whatnot and it'll become like runescape classic, played by a few hundred players regularily.

btw is rsc still around to play? havent been a member/played rs in ages so i have no idea.

Spot on SuF, $3-4 per M, and being sold by the mils is ridiculously low. Even bots would have a hard time making money. I reckon gold will be sold in increments of 10k, and eventually moving up to 100k. But I suppose it also depends on how soon bots are released to the public.

Anyone who doesn't wish to fork up $3-5+ per 100k, would just have to wait. How the game works would be completely different. Put yourself as a gold farmer. Right now the gold you make on the main server is pathetic if you sell it to shops. You have to realize that any monster drop will be little GP compared to the real game. The effort when starting bots is harder. You can't just hand yourself a rune axe anymore, you'll be chopping trees with a bronze-mithril hatchet. I'm just hoping the old money making methods would still be around, and hopefully bots come after.

Yeah, if 1M does cost like $10 then I can understand people selling them in different increments, would be quite smart and at the same time obvious.

 

I hope they're arent too many botters going to be out, but i know they will be.

Not until alchemy based economy has been established, that price isint going to drop, and I would throw in a guess that its going to take atleast 1 - 2 months before there is enough gold to start selling it in bigger amounts.

Dont forget that to sell gold, you need to have it in the game first.

did any of you actually play in 2007? at that time i had around 1.8-2b in various rares and i used to sell a few mil here and there, i used to get roughly £2 per mil.
Are players going to be starting from scratch on the new 2007 servers or will it be like RSC?
