Upper Spam Forum Requirements

It seems kind of stupid that there's a minimum post count required to post in the upper spam forum, especially for frequent spam forum users.

Wouldn't it make more sense if there was a spam forum post count? For example, if someone were to make 2500 posts in the spam forum, they should gain the rights to post in the upper spam forum.

Not sure if there would be a way of calculating posts posted in a non-post count forum.

 

They should still know how many posts were made total.

 

Leave it how it is, no point in changing it.

 

I doubt Richard cares all that much. I'd rather it based on join date.

Maybe make it 5-6+ years instead of saying before "__________"

 

Yeah join date is the way forward but it's dead anyway.

 

if you made it 5-6 years then the section would be more dead than it is now currently. There are only a few in there from that long ago.

 

I'd support a join date requirement.
5-6 years is a bit harsh, maybe 2 years max. (not just saying that so I can post in it as I hardly post in SF anyway )

 

I'd prefer join date. Makes it fairer. Fuck the 2500 posts.

 

I wasn't specifically saying 5-6 years, my mistake. I was saying that it would be better to automatically be able to join after a certain number of years than saying "everyone before 2009 can join" or something like that.

2 years is too short.

 

I also think 2 years is to short maybe around the 4 year mark or close to that

 

If 2 years is too short and 4-6 seems like too long why not split it and make it 3 years? Sounds like a good number ^_^

 

who cares the upper spam forum isn't really that active anyway.

 

This. It makes no difference at all. The forum rarely even gets a post, maybe 2-3 per week.

We could do that as well, I would support a removal.
