Best Friend Stole From Me Do I Forgive Him?

My best friend of like 4-5 years stole a few hundrend dollars from me about a month ago,we had a falling out obviously talked shit and whatever ells. Anyways now he's texting me and wants to be friends again. But how am I supposed to trust someone who had no problem straight up stealing with me. Should I even think about being friends with him again?

If he stole from you once he we will have qualms about stealing from you again. and you don't need people like that around you

 

If he steals from you. He's not your best friend, he's not your friend and he shouldn't even be an acquaintance.

Tell him to give you the money back if he hasn't already and then tell him to fuck off.

 

Forgive him BUT I would strongly advise against being 'friends' with someone who would do that to you.

 

In my opinion I would forgive him but and tell him something like "I will forgive you but I never expected something like this from you...". Make him know how you feel regarding the stolen money, I wouldnt hang around him anymore though, if he did that, its because he isnt a real friend

 

Has he given your money back yet, if he has text him and say fuck off.

 

I'd say okay until I got my money, then I'd disregard him completely. Thieves are scum.

 

He claims his head was in a bad place, his parents are kind of crazy and he was being forced to move out of the city to go live with his dad. Apparently he stole money from his mom also. I don't wanna hang out with someone and be wondering what there intentions are the whole time. If he paid me back and apologized that would be a different story. Think I'll stay clear of him for now. He says he misses hanging out and wants to be friends again. I'd have no problem forgiving him if he paid me back and said he was sorry but he is 16 so doesn't really have the money to just pay me back. If he really wants to be my friend he will pay me back eventually if not forget him. Should I straight up tell him this though?

 

Paying you back should be a mere prerequisite to him possibly getting you as a friend back.

 

I think you should ask to him to give you your money back and if he doesn't forgot about him

How did he steal that much from you ! did he not think he would get caught :l did you get the money back? And dude a friend is a friend as much as i wanna see make up its gonna be awkward cause both of you will always remember him stealing from you

 

Unless he intends to pay the money he stole from you back, then forget that fool you don't need some theif like that!

You can never trust someone again if they steal from you it is kind of like the old saying, once a cheater always a cheater. I personally would just let them go.

 

I personally wouldn't forgive the person. Just take your money back if you don't have it yet and tell him to piss off.

 

Obviously a very difficult situation. It's a bit similar to an addict stealing from their friends/family.

Do you know what he did with the money? If it was for buying essentials such as food, then I would probably forgive him. If he just used it to buy a new iphone, forget him, or ditch him as soon as you've got your money.
