What Is Your Favorite Alcohol?

Well I got curious to what the most popular alcoholic beverage is in the Sythe community. Personaly mine would have to be beer (Redhook ESB) or whip cream vodka.

What is yours? Brands? Specific brew? Mixed drink? Etc?

 

I don't drink that much.

But if I do I drink some Jagger and Smirnoff (L0l kinda fag tho)

I don't drink Alcohol at all.

 

In england i quite like : Wine / Vodka +coke/redbull / Larger (carling / stella / fosters etc etc )

Me and a few friends called it the TOP SHELF SHIT MIX! lmao.. Basiclly all spirits from the top shelf all mixed in a pint glass topped with lemonade / redbull

The name then moved onto Killer FROG because the drink whent a weird green colour haha

Beer, I don't really have a favourite though. (Most belgian beers are good)

For my birthday last weekend i made my favorite drink of all time for a party i had. a version of Jungle Juice
You take all clear liquors Rum,Vodka,Tequila,and Everclear. Pour half a bottle of each in a 5 gallon gatorade cooler like they have at football games. Then you cut up some oranges, whole grapes and any other fruit you want and put it in the bucket with the liquor. Then just add Hawaiian Punch and let it sit in the fridge for 2 days. Get really fucked up. Then repeat. here are the liquors is used as they are fairly cheap but still do the job.

 

Oh man, Tequila is nasty. I've had Absinthe before, which felt like it evaporated in my mouth, but that Everclear stuff sounds hardcore.

In terms of spirits, I enjoy Sailor Jerry, Captain Morgans (Rum primarily).
We've got a great bar here in Plymouth called Rum Bar, that sells only Rum of all different flavours, butterscotch being my favourite.

 

On the money. Can't beat a bottle of Jack.

I can get down on some carlo rossi, I'm much more discerning about my bourbons than I am wines. But i enjoy sweet reds (moscatos mainly) and rose's, occasionally a shiraz.

I can, Jack is an overrated somewhat mediocre bourbon lacking character. Bulliet bourbon is smoother without tasting watered down, Buffalo Trace is cheaper and has JD beat in spades. A similar often overlooked budget appropriate sour mash tennessee whiskey is george dickel, it's smooth and slightly sweet like JD at half the price. JD used to be a lower to mid tier bourbon years ago, it was made popular by some pretty high profile celebrities in the 70s and 80s and got its reputation since then they have doubled the price. It isn't anything special.

That said I'm a fan of bourbon. I like to keep a bottle of Bulliet or a Buffalo trace variant around for sipping strait and a bottle of Ezra Brooks/Evan Williams/Old Grandad (if im looking for a more unique bourbon with a tangier mash bill) for once I am loosened up or just dont feel like dropping $40-$50 on a bottle. They are all better than Jack Daniels in my opinion, Jack got me into bourbon I'll give it that but thats where our affair ends.

I also enjoy beer but mostly stick to cheaper "lawnmower" type beers like PBR for casual drinking, I seldom drop the 8+ usd on a 6 pack of them but Wheat beers like hefeweizens or belgian whites are amazing... I also love bock style lagers. Fortunately TX has a great microbrewing community (and an oddly a large german community) so I can get good local brews fairly cheap.
