Safest Way To Trade?

Hello Sythe. I am starting to sell my services and accounts of mine. What is the best and safest form of payment? I don't want to have to take RSGP as payments as I have no desire to deal with RuneScape anymore. I used to see that PayPal was the safest way to trade, but now people say it is Money Bookers or LR. What is truly the safest way for me to take payments?

 

Western union is the safest

 

To elaborate on what whatsgood44 said, western union is one of the safest because the receiver has to physically pick up the money, so there can't be chargebacks. Moneygram I think is the same as western union - same process. I believe moneypak can't be charged back also, which just loads into your paypal.

 

What about PayPal makes it a non safe way of trading?

 

Chargebacks are so easy to do. Even if you have proof that they received their goods, the perpetrators can claim it was an unauthorized payment and win most of the disputes, leaving you with a hole in your pocket. Not to mention paypal themselves being bitches to deal with, in terms of limitations, etc.

 

Do not use PayPal unless they are very trusted.

Indeed. You can use www.playerauctions.com as a virtual middleman for these methods as an extra step.

 

Take paypal from trusted users, otherwise use Western Union.

 

I have looked into Western Union, but if I have to pick up the money in person that poses a problem to me... I checked to see where the closest WU is, and it is about 45 minutes + away from me.

 

Oh yeah, playerauctions are a good method also. They send money via moneybookers/paypal/credit card and you receive through paypal/moneybookers.


Also, I think there can be some chargebacks via Liberty Reserve and moneybookers but they're VERY hard to do, you might want to look into them if you are struggling for payment methods.

 

With Liberty Reserve, does it send it to your PayPal?

I really do appreciate the help you are giving me. When trying to transfer the money from LR to my bank account or PayPal. How do I do that? I have made a LR and added my billing adress and phone number and everything else. I just can't seem to find out how to add where to send the money to after that.

 

Western Union, MoneyPak and RSGP are the 3 safest ways to receive payments. MP and WU can't be disputed, and RSGP is 100% secure as long as you don't get hacked/reset by jagex.

 

I'm not really sure on that one - I haven't had any experience with LR. Try PMing any one of the OP's of these threads as they accept LR so they have some degree of experience with it.

Accepting rsgp and selling it to someone trusted on sythe works as well.

 

Avoid using Paypal. Use WU/LR/Mail for safest methods.
