Moonglare.net infected?

I wanted to check out moonglare's website to see how it looked, but got blocked by my Kaspersky Pure antivirus.

It says its a HEUR:Trojan.Script.Generic



wtf?

according to securelist.com

 

If this is true. oh dear.

 

The website won't even load for me.

Edit: I am also getting the trojan, and the website seemed to have started an automatic download.


I recommend anyone who has visited the site recently to run a full diagnostic.

 

What will happen to moonglare? and his site?

EVERYONE WHO HAS VISITED MY WEBSITE IN THE PAST PLEASE RUN A FULL SYSTEM SCAN THROUGH MALEWARE BYTES.

 

Well spotted, surely nobody could have put a virus onto his website? Anyone have any sort of possible explanation for this?

 

Of course they can, its obviously hacked and someone's using it to try infect people.

 

The real question is why would someone hack into a non-active website (judging by the cache it's been a while since updated), and put a virus up there? Hmm...

Okay, so it was an inactive website. However, MoonGlare claims it wasn't...



Has no proof to back it up because he "cleared it"...



If your website is hacked, why would you clear traffic data? You get rid of the files on the site and the databases, not clear the data...



Anyway, pretty suspect.

 

I would recommend taking the site down moon and virus scanning your computer as well. I am trying to figure out why someone would hack a website if it really was inactive.

 

Think what you want mate. All I have to say is that if you think I would infect my own website keep dreamin'.

 

Take it to RaS or leave it be.
