Why Runescape 2007 Will Flop

First, I don't understand why you can't do basic math, but we ARE NOT GETTING 750K VOTES! We got around 35k today. Lets say that we get 35k for the remaining 12 days, which we won't. 350000*12=420,000. Add that to the current total and you still don't have 750k. 750k in 2 weeks would require an average of about 54k votes a day. I really don't understand why you seem to think that some 600k people have not logged on to vote.

So for the rest of my post, I will be assuming that there will be no f2p.

Next, how do you assume goldfarmers will make 300k/hour? They only make that 300k if someone is willing to buy whatever they are farming (e.g. yews, sharks, cow hides, etc.). For the first month or two, no one will have that kind of money. Furthermore, botting WoW =/= botting Runescape. In the long term, Runescape is not as profitable and has a much, much smaller market. If Chinese goldfarmers do decide to appear, it will not be for months. By that time, there is a good chance that the 2007 version will not even be as popular.

 

RS2 was a legit upgrade from RSC. EoCscape turned the game into something completely different.

If there are still thousands of people playing 2006/2007 RS remakes that are full of bugs, ran by abusive admins and suffer from down time because of the server being DDoSed, Jagex servers aren't going to die very quickly at all.
