What Is The Gateway Drug

No one does heroin and says "Im gunna shoot this into my arm" It usually starts by smoking. then snorting then IV this happens over a period of months . Also iv heard of people smoking Oxy's but seems like a waste lol

 

What the fuck are you talking about dude? Have you ever IV'd shit before? Plenty of first time heroin users IV heroin because they started on other drugs. Like meth or anything else. Shit, people intramuscular inject ketamine and they have never touched heroin or anything like that.

And no, wrong. Plenty of people won't smoke heroin for a couple reasons. 1. More addictive than snorting or taking orally. 2. The smell. 3. Smoking on tin foil is generally a bad idea, and that's how most people smoke heroin. and 4. Because there are only some forms of heroin that are smokeable, the big most popular one being black tar.

So you hear all this shit, but have never had any experience I'm assuming? And no, smoking oxy or any other pill is retarded and only done by highschoolers who have probably tried snorting vicodin (lol acetaminophen) as well. If you smoke a pill enjoy inhaling tons of binders.

 

Not 100% of heroin users start out by IV, But that isn't what this thread is about, I also never said smoking oxy's was a good idea.

I tried heroin first as powder, then got black tar, had to shoot it. It was amazing but to me I think pills lead me to taht.

 

Why ae people voting marijuana... no one here has read any studies no it is not a gateway drug the only thing i crave after smoking is a bag of doritos not any other hard drug.....

 

I think alcohol is definitely a gateway drug, at least in terms of doing cigs and weed.

People who smoke weed are more likely to do harder drugs, and getting in with "druggies" (not saying all weed smokers are druggies) and illegal dealers can definitely serve as a "gateway", but I'm not sure one drug should be categorized as the single gateway drug.

 

I believe that the gateway drug theory is at least partially based in truth, because for some people one drug can lead to another. It isn't a common thing and it probably shouldn't be used a scare tactic but there are drugs that lead into other drugs for some people.

I agree with DJ on pills. My parents go to a church that was next to a rehab and the people from the rehab came over all of the time and we would talk to them. A lot of them said that they were clean and then their doctor started prescribing them pain pills for their issues. Next thing you know they weighed 110 pounds and spent all their money on oxys. The problem a lot of the times is that doctors don't really want to deal with patients so they just throw them hard drugs and people get hooked on them rather quickly.

 

I'm still going to stick with caffeine I would say most of the first world children enjoy some flavor of pop/soda and the adrenaline rush from the caffeine is the first real drug high you get as a person most likely.

 

In my honest opinion, pills are.
Some people might get interested if they take excessive amounts of
Advil for example, they like the feeling, so they try other drugs for
a more intense sensation.

 

For me I buy a zip of high quality weed and I'm good.

But I still love pills, but just because I smoked didn't make me go "let me try this." I just love the feeling pk's give me, same with heroin, that's why most people just do heroin since it's cheaper.

 

Personally, I don't think there is a gateway drug.

You either have the mentality/addictive quality that after 2-5 times you'll become addicted. There's no drug that makes you addictive, although there are some that increases your chances, they don't actually make you addicted, your chemical balance does that for you. Hence, all drugs have different affects on people.

Take a look at adderall. Some people can take it all their life and be fine, not become addicted, not need an increase in dosage etc. Others become addicted right off the bat and have a terrible relapse once they're off of it and have to go back on.

 

Based on the chance that it doesnt give you a high, yes. But this is talking about pills that do get you a high, or such feeling.

 

There is no gateway drug. If that was the case, it would be paracetamol for me.

 

I would have to say pills, as to MJ has no addictive traits to it what so ever as long as it is not laced with anything.

 

Nicotine or Alcohol because they are the most common drugs that are used socially. Also they are both very addictive.

 

i sell bud and have for 5 years. Ive never sold anything else, because i cant stand dealing with the pillheads. I could make thousands but its not worth it. ganja isnt a gateway in my eyes. I believe pills will lead you down far worse paths.... Most stoners usually fuck with weed, shrooms, occasional acid and ex/beans. Pillheads will straight hit suck snort or shoot w.e they can get their hands on.

(edit) If you didnt know i live in Tampa Bay area which is known as the pill capital of the Usa. The state of florida orders 90-92% of all oxycodone in the usa... I deal with juggs all the fucking time. Straight falling asleep in stores, red lights and gas stations. I dont get whats so great about being completely fucking anniliated.
