NSG Logo Design

Hey fellow artists ;0 I was assigned to a project by one of my clients and decided to do something unique instead of what I usually do. I actually really like it and am getting into it more and more due to the fact that I am now starting to work for some businesses IRL around my home (pretty exciting shiez) So anyways here it is so rate/hate/comment/cheeseburgers...

For it being drawn the skull is pretty nice. My gripe with this piece is the text at the top. It looks distorted and not in a good way. I think what you were trying to achieve was having it going around the contour of the skull, is that what you were trying to do? It's not the best choice of font to try and do that.

 

It feels boring for myself, and it looks childish. I don't know if that is what you were going for but it's 'cutesy'.

 

Yeah I get the vibe from it, reminds me of a child cartoon show super villan of some sort. I like how the eyes and mouth came out, but the text is out of proportion try experimenting with other fonts because it doesn't really fit the piece.

Was waiting for you to post haha. Yea, actually that was the type of design I was going for more of a 'cartoony' look so to speak. Based on those words do you have anything else to say? I'm really interested in some more CnC

Looks good, just not a fan of the text to be honest. Just looks like it doesn't really suit the skull.

 

Is this a poster for marketing? (Since you said you're doing work for someone I understand its a project) Because its not very memorable or original if I saw it I'd forget about it and not want to look up what nsg is.

From a art standpoint it's kinda cool looks like a doodle in math or something ha but you filled it in well. I like the text unlike the others

 

It's a team logo for Gamebattles/The clients YouTube logo if I'm not mistaken.

 

Ahh okay well then disregard my first statement

 

i like it but the text looks a bit weird. and the top is pointy you should fix it so it isent such a harsh point. other than that it looks like a grate logo

 

Looks really sweet Moonglare. Yeah it looks cartoony, but it payed off and the font actually goes if you ask me, it gives the piece a kind of techno-cartoony feel (a really nice mix) well done Moonglare, also the initial sketch was also rather nice!

 

You could maybe shape the letters around the head.

Don't mind me ruining your work xD, did this in photoshop really quick. Warped the N and the G, i'm sure you could do a much better job.

Maybe try some coloring? To really be some eye candy. Or are you just trying to get the shaping done then colorize last?

But so far i like the overall design.
