Invest or not? mmm

Anyone have any articles / links to botting pre-2007??

I know injection bots will need redoing to adapt to the 2007scape.

But what about color bots etc etc? Surely color recognizable bots will be on the go?

Tempted to buy a few bots and bang out a little gold farm while prices sky rocket lol.

What you guys think? And whats your plans with 2007scape?

 

Colour bots will be fine, I also have a good idea for something to bot. I don't think I will even be making a farm, but I have an idea to make money if i do play .

 

I highly doubt Jagex will let bots run rampant again. They will most likely adapt their current bot detection system to the 2007 version. Also, if you read the Jagex official feedback statements, if there is enough demand and votes supporting a 2007 version, it will be fully staffed and have a dedicated development team; aka no bots/bugs.

 

I can see them banning accounts that do long hours at the start, as it's obvious that they will be color bots.

 

All the known bugs that were about in 07 would be able to be done again in theory? So anyone know were to find out patched bugs

 

There will always be bots made available, but I do hope that Jagex actively ban them. This would keep the price of GP high.

 

Im excited to see what actuly happens the first few months haha!... No gp in circulation haha stone ages ... But we all know the pattern of rs so its not asif things are going to change

This will never happen. If anything...there will be more bots.

 

I can also see this coming. I shall just wait for the more advanced bots to adapt before I even attempt to bot.

Bots will be making good money at the start. Thing you need to take into consideration is that membership will be at least regular EOC price + $5/month. So around $13 per character.

If gold is priced @ $5/100k for the first month (purely a random value I made up now), it means you'll need to make $13 / ($5/100K) to break even (260K) per bot, before fixed costs. You'll need to make sure you can avoid detection up until your break even point, on average, for this to cover your variable expenses. Obviously, you'll want to average out your fixed costs as well in order to make the decision on whether this deal is worthwhile for you.

 

With this it'll be difficult at the start, no gold anywhere, no skills. will be a waste of money really..

Well obviously we can expect the initial costs to remain high. But once you gain higher stats, you will be able to make more GP/hour.

 

it is going to depend on how many members jagex get playing, i can only assume the servers will get more players than the current rs, meaning jagex's attention will more than likely be transferred to 2007 and stopping people from botting

 

I think once the servers are up it will gain alot of people playing. Due to the fact people dont want to pay members to vote again but when Jagex realizes the fact that its popular they will bump the charges down

 

Jagex won't do anything to bots from the get go, let's be honest bots shape the economy and without bots prices would be crazy for months, bots would settle the market down. Jagex even said themselves for all levels of votes that bot technology would be added if necessary, which would take a few months for jagex to add something like that lol.

 

Under the assumption that Jagex will not have very strong bot detection @ launch, botting should be quite profitable in early-RS 2007. A bot should easily be able to earn more than $13 / month (price of membership).

 

Are you not worried Jagex will preempt this and instead be adamant regarding bot detection to send a message?
