It really just depends how much money monsters drop, which isn't much at all. Now that i think about it, it might start at way more than $10/m.

 

that is what i was thinking because if people want to get some gold like soon after the release they will have to buy it by like 10k or 100k's and it'll still be costly.

I'm pumped as i'm going to grind the fuck out of skills and money making ways and get some cash, and utilize shops that sell weapons in game/armor as well since nobody will be smithing rune anytime soon

 

When I first came to Sythe, gold was going for $13-$15/m and tailed off $8-$10 by the end of the year. And that was in 2005 well after RS had been established.

With everyone starting at level killing goblins for cash, gold may just be priceless for quite some time.

 

Really? $10/M, I'm just not gonna pay that until it goes down to around $1/M, which even then is still very expensive compared to EoC prices.

 

Well the other option is to just make the GP yourself. I think it's safe to assume the price will remain high for a few months at least.

 

Nothing is guaranteed though however if this is the case then I shall just buy like 2M and then start from there, it will be very exciting to see peoples prices here on Sythe.

Anyone have plans for how to make profit at the start? Farming a particular item, etc.

 

Rune essence,woodcutting,fletching bots and doing runecrafting/fletching by hand on my main account or might just start the race to 85 slayer right away. The goal is to cash in on whips while the value is at it's peak.

 

This. I think mining essence will be the most profitable thing to do for anyone to start getting some money to train etc. and maybe fishing for food or something, so they are able to start slayer. Deffo going to be very fun starting off, and will be interesting to see how fast people can make some money.

 

Yeah I remember when whips were worth so much. Although who is going to be able to afford something that is supposed to be worth so much when no one will have much money in the first place.

I might set up a woodcutting or essence mining farm.

 

Tbh I intend to farm unids. I used to make a killing off these back in the day.

Yeah I believe it is a completely fresh start.

 

Yea I'd hoard them for maybe a month till there is some kind of economy. Or trade them for other items you need.

 

What kind of items can be sold to general stores for decent price? Logs, essence, ores, etc.? List them =D
