2007 Server Discussion

Woooooooooooooooooooooo, it's coming back for sure!
Now just to hope it gets to the point where it doesn't cost much and they actually have a team to maintain it.

 

I am still committed to finishing my main account, but I love the idea of experiencing a new challenge & a clean slate, and getting to experience the old-school PK'ing/clan world as it once was.

This is mainly why I hope we can reach the 750k vote tier. It would be SO amazing if we could all just hop back and forth between the 2 servers as we please, for no additional costs or fees. We really would be getting the best of both worlds ^_^

PS - If anybody here makes videos or knows somebody here who does and has a decent subscriber base, you should make a video about the poll/encourage them to make a video about the poll. Every little bit helps! The only way this will ever reach 750k is if the majority of the community comes together and helps circulate this thing.

I really hope this gets at least 750k, I am constantly refreshing the page to see how fast it goes up =D its making me giddy.

 

For those who vote, what is it up to now? I'm about to get a new account and make it a member to vote in a week or so since there's 2 weeks.

 

i think its at about 65k.

 

There's no way it's going to reach 750k I don't think, but 500k seems doable.

 

Do you guys think we will be able to reach 250k votes?

Anyone voting will get their first month of rs 2007 membership for free!

 

Sorta annoyed about the possibility of starting again, I put a lot of work into my pures over the years. I think there's going to be quite a few rs2 comforts like the ge that'll be missed in 07. I know some people prefer it, but it used to take so long to get stuff for quests when you had to travel all over the place.

Pretty sure it'll be slow starting until people get the levels to actually make stuff like armour, weapons etc

 

I predict that the poll will hit the 250,000 benchmark. I think we needed to see at least 250k today for 500k to be viable.

I somehow misread the voting tiers and it turns out we only need 500,000 votes to ensure the servers are FREE rather than 750,000!!



750k would still be ideal for the best quality servers and features, but 500k seems like a completely achievable goal if everybody rallies behind this.

 

500k you still have to pay the $7.50 a month or whatever it is. If we get 750k their will be f2p servers. I don't mind paying a normal membership fee to play these serves though. So 500k-750k votes is ideal for me.

 

I'm reversing my initial decision about making this the only thread in which to talk about '07, just don't make a thread about an '07 idea/thought if someone else has already done it

 

I really hope we hit 500k man, we should definitely hit 100k + by end of the day

 

Will buy my membership back later and vote, although it sucks that it will be a waste of 5 bucks if it's going to take a month-2 to get this thing going.

having a real rs2007 server is like a dream coming true to me, i just hope botting won't become too much of a problem, it ruined rs for me.

 

750k means free servers without having to pay membership+ an up to date anto-botting system, so i really hope we reach 750k votes to ensure botting won't ruin it

Even if we reach 250k votes, they might add the clusterfluttererrrererrer shit to Rs2007 which would mess up the reflection bots.
