Jagex Will Hold A Vote On 2007 Servers

All those votes will not be accomplished they probably have 200k current members right now and thats being generous

 

Holy shit did I really just read this?!?!? Fk yea ! Idk if i'll be playing hardcore like in the past but we'll see how this goes! Am very excited anyhow .

 

Does this mean all names will become available again and we need to compete to get good ones at the start or can we log onto our current account and we will have the name we have on RS right now, just our stats will be level 3?

 

I don't think so Cheese Toast, they state an extra payment on top of ur regular membership(depending on the number of votes) so that means you'll be paying montly membership with ur regular rs account. So you'll only be able to login with the account u paid the extra membership on.


Edit; however if they add Name changing possibilities for RS2007 and they seperate it from the normal rs, it might be possible. But I don't see that happening .

 

This is so WORTH paying for... think about it, BUGS fixed, MAINTAINANCE, every npc, never offline (unlike some rsps's) and just fresh new economy, NO dupes and shit like that and classic music, no eoc, you can use a rare name if you want, just pay memb for it.

I CAN'T WAIIIIIIT PLEASE GET ATLEAST 250K !!!!

I really really don't understand why people are against this, they are not putting a gun to your head to vote, and they already said it won't affect main the game. They need to extra revenue to pay for new team dedicated to these servers.

 

I hope we get at least 250k, trust me 22.50 a month is ridiculous. 12.50 is more like it. You know how much money we could save if we subscribe to like 5 accs eac, sure we dish out 35$ but in the end, in the long run we save more than if we were to pay 22.50 a month.

 

I'm hoping we get to keep the name we have on the main server currently. I own a few rare names and would be nice to be able to play on them from fresh.

 

Yea so do I, I do think we will be able to play with the current Main rs name we have.

You could compare it to the Runescape Classic servers I guess. You login using you login name and your display name is used in game.

This is fucking crazy. Good thing there's large chinese bot farms on member accounts that will consume a good portion of these votes.

 

Hopefully the votes reach high enough to ensure they allocate a team for development.

 

Pretty smart move by jagex, because now all the nostalgia kiddies ar gonna buy members and jagex are going to make like over $1 Million. Easily.

So yeah. this is just another money making sceme by jagex, but i suppose the full 2007 game will be interesting to check out, since all these "remakes" are terrible lol. Still, doubt i have the time to train up my stats again, so i doubt i'll play.

 

I think it's pretty stupid how we have to have a "fresh start" when veterans like me spent years accumulating the skills we have today.

Hmm yea well, it's the one or the other, you'll be able to make that decision yourself. If you keep playing on the 2013 rs, you won't be losing anything , you'll be playing on the same game, same levels, same players etc.

If those veterans vote yes, they'll be willing to start fresh :x, I know it's a sucky situation but yea...
