Assignment was to create a composition using a colored glass object, a colored plastic object, and a reflective metal object using colored pencils, and then white gouache for highlights. Pic taken with my phone cause I didn't have time to scan it :\

Wow, thats realllly nice and I see you have quite some talent ;) However, I kind of noticed that the shadow for the Lego piece looks 'awkward'. Look into that and fix it. Other than that it looks good mate. How long did it take ya?

    Y U NO GOOD AT PERSPECTIVE? :p

Really though you need to practice your perspective. It looks like there are some terribly misproportioned items there.

Bob and I are friends, he knows what I am talking about and he knows that I am going to be honest about it.

    OT:
Is it true gouache is like water colors and oils mixed together?

I have no idea Nero, and yeah Guru, you're retarded. Thanks for the heads up on perspective, I was struggling with it on this one. I tried to use 2-point perspective on this, but kinda messed it up, and the shadows don't really help with it :\ Thanks for the critique :3

How does the rendering of materials look?

Is the picture suppose to have a tilted appearance? or was that how it was scanned?

    I think it looks awesome.

I like it, although some of the shadows don't look right. I think if you payed attention to that then we could have some nice talent on our hands. Congratulations on the piece buddy, it looks very nice. Keep at it and keep motivated I want to see more! :D

The bottle looks lovely, a few things though.

    1. Perspective of the bottom of the bottle needs working on. I'm not sure what methods you use to make sure everything is in perspective beforehand, but a quick pencil sketch beforehand can help.

    2. I can see what you're doing here with the reflection, but to me it looks wrong. Pretty good effort though.

    3. If that's a lego brick, the connection parts are too small, but it isn't really that much of a big deal. The highlight needs a bit of work.

    4. The shadow gives the illusion the brick is floating.

Is that where there are two vanishing points that you work towards? I don't think those items would be necessarily the best for 2 point perspective, something that changes direction or has a corner is better, like a house.

Also, just to not repeat (I don't think I am repeating), the shadows seem inconsistent in that some are going one way and some are going a slightly different way amongst all 3 objects. As moonglare said also, the lego brick is not the best.
