Not a bad build, but you don't really need the i5 if it's for gaming, which I assume it is due to your bf3 mousepad.

 

The i5 is actually picked cuz of gaming, my brother is good at all this computer stuff.
And my BF3 Mousepad was kinda random, some gift card I had to spend. I've only played BF3 for a couple hours...

 

i5 is overkill for gaming, it's more future proof, but I wouldn't bother with an i5 unless you went straight for the 2500k/3570k. The i3-3220 can handle gaming fine, the quad cores are only really used in editing/photoshop and rendering.

 

The wiring could still definitely use a lot of work.

It's a little better, cable lengths made management impossible in come cases though, primarily the one running up to my DVDRW.

more and more games are utilizing quads now, unless its a complete budget build theres no reason to not go an i5. idiet.


ot, nice upgrades, personally wouldnt have spent any money on acpu cooler for a locked cpu but thats me,

 

The water cooling was on discount, so it cost me about 50$... Which was money from sales here on sythe.

My first time to put it all together myself, my brother has always done it for me. So I can live with how it is now, it is working

 

Cable management needs some work, but nice upgrade. That old case was ugly, nice new one.

 

No offense, but when I made my thread you said this:

Now, I don't know if I should count on your word, but an i5 makes great difference in games, Far Cry 3 and alot of other games do need a quad core for smooth frames.

OT: Nice upgrades, what water-cooling kit is that? Do you feel a difference in 144Hz?

 

My last one had horrid wiring as well. I would really recommend taking the time to tidy it up when you have the chance though.

 

I do think that an i5 is good, but I wouldn't recommend one besides the 2500k+. There's no point in a lower one, especially in this build.

More games are utilising quads yes, but for now, an i3 can run 60+ FPS easily, and any higher is not visible to the human eye. I also like how you can't spell "idiot" in your insults. I like your .

 

THERE IS NO POINT GOING i3 UNLESS BUDGET BUILD LOL. and no, use a dual core in games like bf3, farcry 3, etc etc. see what its like compared to an i5.
I can tell the difference between 60 and 120fps, specially in FPS games. pls shh. lol spelling? soz m8 just mucking around, i can spell fine.

Eyes can see above 60 FPS, espicially if you have a 120Hz monitor. You can't argue about that.

 

Thanks, I might try to see if I can make it look better. It is my first time doing it on my own, so kinda fun to put it all together. It took a few hours though, I ran into some small problems

My wiring is utter shit. All of them are either way too long or too short to make it look nice. That and I'm much too lazy to make it all nice.
